Before a treatment
Leave room for the unanswered questions.
Ask for the exact product name and how it would be used before trying to weigh what is known. You can ask about missing information without having decided for or against an offer.
A gap in evidence belongs in the discussion
FDA (the US Food and Drug Administration) warns that GHK-Cu molecules could stick together in an injection preparation, and that unwanted substances may be present. These could cause the body’s defences to react against it. Information about safety in people remains limited.
The body’s defences can treat a substance as an invader; that response is an immune reaction.
This is FDA’s stated concern, checked September 30, 2026, rather than a report proving that a particular person was harmed.
Read note AAsk how the plan fits your health history
- Which details about my medicines and supplements matter to this plan?
- How do my health conditions change this discussion?
- What is known, and what remains unknown, for this exact product?
- What would make you recommend a different approach?
- Who handles a problem between visits?
Bring the medicine and supplement names in writing, rather than relying on recall during the conversation. Have the prescriber talk through any part you cannot yet describe back.
When the question is urgent
A severe allergic reaction can involve trouble breathing or swallowing, or swelling of the face or tongue; it can be life-threatening.
MedlinePlus guidance reviewed September 17, 2026 says severe symptoms of this reaction need emergency help, including going to the nearest emergency room.
Read note BReporting is separate from getting care
FDA’s MedWatch programme lets patients report suspected medicine problems; information about this programme was reviewed September 17, 2026.
If you think a medicine has made you ill, contact the person treating you and ask what care you need. Sending a report does not get you medical help. For the severe symptoms described above, seek emergency help.
